I am raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS), an organization dedicated to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma. I will be running the Chicago Marathon in honor of my dad, who passed away from Leukemia, and I will be running with my wife, Mallory, who successfully beat Hodkin's lymphoma.

So far...

$2,500 in 2010

$1,685 in 2012

$?,??? in 2013

Everyone has been overwhelmingly generous in their donations, and we've raised $4,185 so far.

Kickstart Cancer Research

To sweeten the deal (and to make sure I actually do thank you notes), if you donate I'll send you things! (Each level includes the ones above).

$100-199: An LLS "Relentless" red wristband. Brett has been wearing one for 3 years!

$200-499: A personalized thank you video! On race day! With Mallory!

$500++++: Something so awesome it will blow your mind!

Cancer Research

After running the marathon in honor of my dad in 2010, my wife, Mallory, was diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin's Lympoma. After 4 months of Chemo treatments at Barnes Hospital (and lots of driving to St. Louis) we are cancer free for over 1 year! Mallory is the strongest person I've ever met and I'm so glad we went through the fires together.

I've come to find out that cancer research is very important. Mallory participated in a research study at Barnes which enabled us to skip the normal radiation (which can potentially cause other forms of cancer later). Please consider donating to the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. Since the first funding in 1954, LLS has awarded more than $680 million in research funding.

Running in memory of Thomas Robert Jones

I am once again running in the Chicago Marathon, in memory of my father, Thomas R. Jones, who passed away after a long battle with leukemia, in 1988. While we only spent 2 years together, he has been a large inspiration in my life. Leukemia and lymphoma have also affected a number of my friends and family including my late Grandpa Mac.

Donate today!

This cause is very near to my heart and I hope you will help fight leukemia and lymphoma with me! My goal is to raise $1250.00 and beyond!

Your secure online tax-deductible donation will help fund lifesaving research, education, and patient services while providing help and hope to thousands.
