Hi everyone welcome to my Marathon fundraising page...eek did I just say MARATHON!


After a decade of not running I am training to participate in the Chicago Marathon in order to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society (LLS). We all pick charities for different reasons and I want to tell you why I picked LLS. There are so many causes that affect our lives and touch our hearts from cancer to starving kids, to homeless pets...there are too many to name. But I am running because of Nancie Boedy, the woman that she is and the impact she has had on my life and so many others. Momma Boedy is like a second mom to me and I am inspired by her strength, her courage and her amazingly positive attitude!


A friend recently said to me, "run for whatever keeps your feet moving at mile 22 and gets you to 26.2!" and the answer to that for me is a cure for Leukemia and Momma Boedy!!!


So here I go for better or worse, and I ask that you would please support me in this and advance the mission of LLS - a cure!
