Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I'm training to participate in the 2009 Chicago Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All

of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who have been impacted by cancer. We need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

So how can you help?

Just $25 can provide patients and their loved ones with FREE Booklets to help them make informed decision about their treatment options.

$50 makes possible a Family Support group.

$100 helps supply lab researchers with supplies to help find a cure.

$500 could provide patient aid to a person with Leukemia or a related cancer for a year.

$1000 makes possible one-on-one conversations with health care specialists.

I have had a few inquiries about the training process so I wanted to give anyone who is interested an update. I have been faithfully running with my Team In Training group every Saturday at Lake of the Woods. I ran 6.6 miles last Saturday. While the weather has been mainly frigid, last Saturday was beautiful. Lake of the Woods provides the perfect motivational atmosphere for running. If one finds difficulty loving running, at least running will create or solidify a love of nature.

I cannot thank everyone enough who has donated to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I have had an overwhelming response to my fundraising letter. Thank you for your generosity.
