Team in Training for 2009 Chicago Marathon

Racing to Save Lives
I know, you'd think once is enough but loved last year's race and can't wait to do it again!
My experience with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training for the 2008 Chicago Marathon was so overwhelmingly rewarding that I am looking forward to this again.
I met amazing people - coaches, mentors, other runners and most importantly, patients and families of patients who have benefitted from the medical advances your support funded.
The advice they gave us the day before the race was if you're not planning on winnng, to enjoy the experience. Well, if you came out to cheer the runners, you know I did. This time, I am committed to not stopping to chat as much as last year. I believe this can probably cut off at least 1/2 hour from my time!
Thanks to everyone who donated last year and thanks in advance to everyone who supports me this year. Hopefully, one day, we will no longer need financial support to find a cure.
All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
I'm completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In
Training and help advance LLS's mission.
