Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I'm training to participate in the inagural Chicago Rock N Roll Half Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in memory of my Grandfather, Ira Kenneth Wise, who lost his battle with Leukemia in 1994 at the age of 77. I am also racing to honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

I have two fundraisers going on right now. The first is called Insider Pages, and you just go online to their webiste, review local businesses (not chains), and then they donate to my fundraiser for each review. The other is a Tastefully Simple party that I am hosting. 20% of the proceeds for the party will go to my Team In Training page. So this is a super yummy way to raise money to fight blood cancers. 5/11/2009 -- I had my first Team In Training workout this weekend. It was fun!! I have a lot of work to do, and lots of training, to be ready for the Rock N Roll Half, but I know I can do it!!
