Racing to Save Lives

Dear Friends and Family,

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I have committed to participating in the Rock 'n' Roll Chicago Half Marathon on August 2 as well as the Chicago Marathon on October 11. I'm training to participate in both of these events as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure! But most importantly, I am running in memory of my greatest hero, my Dad, who lost his battle with Leukemia last September.

Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission. Each donation helps accelerate finding a cure for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. More than 823,000 Americans are battling these blood cancers. I am hoping that my participation in Team In Training will help bring them hope and support.

As of today, 5/26, I have committed to running the Chicago Marathon, prior to this, I was only planning on doing the 1/2 marathon but was asked if I wanted to join the combo team and train for both events. Since I have now joined the combo training team, I have been given a new fundraising page and my old one is no longer active, and the names of the contributors were not able to transfer to this new page, but I was able to copy and paste them into this part of the page, I want to give a big THANKS for all of your kind words and generous donations.
