Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I'm training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

6/14/09 ~ Today I did a five mile walk and it was great. My husband, Neil and my daughter, Marissa joined me on it. We walked from Shoreline Park all the way past Veterans Memorial Parkway. The first 2.5 miles was clear and dry and the second half was rainy. My daughter said the walk was "absolutely fabulous!" It has been so wonderful to have the support of my family on this new journey that I have taken. Keep checking back for more updates. I really am hoping to raise $1800 so that I can participate in the marathon for this great cause.

6/20/09 ~ Today I met up with my Team in Training buddies and we did our 5/6 mile run. The first half I was a little out of breath but the second half I did really well on. Today was the first day I did walk/run intervals and I did pretty great on that. Thanks to everyone who walked with me today.

6/22/09 ~ Today I went out and did my walk/run interval for about 1 3/4 miles with my family. It was great to have them along with me. All their support is helping me appreciate them even more than I already did.
