Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I have signed up to train for and run in the San Antonio Rock and Roll Marathon in November of 2008. But I am not running or training alone. Both my husband, Steve, and I have joined
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us involved with Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. Specifically, I am running in honor of 3 people who have been very important in my life - Lindsay; Barb and David. We also have a local 'hero' who our team is running in honor of. You see me pictured with him at a recent team meeting. This is 6-year old Jared who is currently in remission from AML Leukemia, having been diagnosed in August of 2007. I know that the pain that I wil experience training for and running in the marathon is nothing compared to what Jared as been through in the past 8 months.
