Spring Training has begun!! No not baseball, Triathlon Training!!!

Four and a half years ago, I made a promise to myself that I wouldn’t give up on me! I committed to working out, eating healthier, and having fun along the way. Thankfully I haven’t had to travel that journey alone, and have had support of friends and family like you! When I started one of my dreams was to “have a smaller shadow”, and now that I’ve accomplished that (bonus!), I want to give back, and live up to dream number two which is “to encourage and inspire others”. I never dreamt that my life would take me to where I am now, but I am ever so thankful for all that has happened in my life over the past four years.

On September 12, 2010, I will be racing in an Olympic distance triathlon in Washington, DC. That’s ~1 mile swim, ~25 mile bike, and a ~6 mile run. Luckily, I am not doing this on my own. I have joined the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training program. I have committed to raising $3,500 and racing in the triathlon! In return, Team in Training will coach me and my teammates and provide support that will help me cross the finish line. I am hoping you to will join me in supporting me in my fundraising goal, and supporting me thru training, and across the finish line.
