Can't Stop. Won't Stop.

5 years ago I decided to do something that I didn't know would change my life- I joined Team in Training and ran my first marathon in San Francisco in support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and quickly learned that through TNT, we can make a difference.Everyone knows I run a lot of races but none mean as much to me as the races I run with TNT.Even greater than my physical commitment to the program has been my commitment to raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Why?- Because acute leukemia is the number one cause of death of children under the age of 15.
- Because every 3 minutes a person is diagnosed with a blood cancer.
- Because every 9 minutes someone dies from a blood cancer.
- Because 1.2 million people are living with, or in remission from, some type of blood cancer.Great progress has been made in the treatment of this disease, and continued funding for this research is essential. I have set a personal goal to raise $2,000 toward this effort. (Which will make my total raised for TNT/LLS well over $10,000 these past 8 seasons.)LLS is doing more than any other nonprofit to advance cutting edge research and cures, is funding more than 300 different cancer research projects, and gave $237 million last year to help patients afford their treatments. And NONE of that would be possible without the efforts of Team in Training. As I run my 35th half marathon course in Nashville this spring with TNT, all those I have personally lost to this disease as well as those I have met along the way who are still battling will be with me in spirit, and your sponsorship will inspire me to run stronger and faster toward that finish line. It takes more than one person to make up a team and that’s why I’m asking you to, yet again, please donate to LLS on my behalf! With 100% of your donation being tax deductible and over 80% of your donation going directly to research and patient services, you- WE- truly can make a difference.Thank you so much for your continued support and generosity. And, of course...GO TEAM!!!
