Hiking to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training fundraising page.

The photo is a picture of my brother-in-law, Mike, who is currently battling a rare form of Periferal T-Cell Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. He was diagnosed with it in September, 2008. He has undergone several rounds of chemotherapy and has had a stem cell transplant.

Update on Mike: Mike lost his battle on the morning of June 2, 2009. He was an awesome father, husband, brother-in-law, brother, son, friend and police officer. Mike will be missed by the thousands of people who knew him and whose lives he touched.

I'm participating in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers and especially Mike. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
