Hey Peeps,

Well, today was our last group run for San Diego TNT!!! We are all excited and ready to go!!! Some of us more than others!! We have had a great time training and getting to know one another. I want to thank all of you for your encouragement, kind words and donations!!! It really means a lot to me. I've not been involved in a fundraising event before, so this has taught me quite a bit. More than anything, I am grateful for all of you who took the time and made an effort to donate and offer encouragement. This is an experience of a lifetime. I still have a few more dollars to make it to my goal, so if you feel like donating more or can share the cause with a friend or two, I would greatly appreciate it!!! Remember, it is for a great cause and it is tax deductible!!

Well...What's Happ'nen Peeps,

All is well here in Savannah, GA. I have been enjoying my training and have employed the help of two of my friends, Gailyn and John. It has been quite the adventure.

This morning, we braved the cooler temperatures (38 degrees at the start) and after completing the Shamrock 5k last night, completed 14 wonderful miles. It was a fantastic run, filled with the early morning sights of downtown Savannah.

Next week, we are up for 16 miles. With the weather warming up, it should be a good run.

Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I am really excited. I am involved in something really awesome this year. I'm training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

I am planning to run the full marathon in San Diego for this cause. I cannot wait! Me..running...San Diego...the beach..San Diego..running..sunsets....'California here I come....right back where I started from....'
