2012 is coming soon. Need a holiday gift idea or just a new calendar to spruce up your life? 2012 14 Month Calendar "Journey" by Brett Reichert. Proceeds benefit LLS & The Georgia Chain Gang.
"Each purchase of this calendar will generate $9.21 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Proceeds will be donated on behalf of the "Georgia Chain Gang", who will cycle 3000 miles over 6 days in June, 2012, and attempt to raise $200,000 in the process to fight blood cancers. This coil-bound, 14-month calendar measures 11" x 8.5", contains pre-printed standard US holidays and 43 unique, full-color photographs by Brett Reichert, who is happy to provide a date and location ID for each photograph. Welcome to the Team In Training home page for Lee and Amy Amlicke's participation with Georgia Chain Gang 2012 Race Across America.
Race Across America is a 3000+ mile coast to coast bike race starting June 16, 2012 in Oceanside, CA and finishing in Annapolis, MD. With over 100,000 feet of climbing it has been billed as the world's toughest endurance event. The Georgia Chain Gang is an 8 person mixed (men and women) team with the goal to fundraise, have fun, and hopefully finish in less than 6 days.
Amy and I will be jointly participating in the event. I (Lee) will racing on the team. Amy will have the more difficult job of working on the crew and keeping the rolling circus moving forward. However neither of these undertakings are anything compared to the struggle those diagnosed with blood cancers face.
We will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. We are improving the quality of our lives by participating and with your support, we can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
