Welcome to Mark Engemann's Team In Training home page.

I'm training to participate in an endurance event RAAM as a member of The Georgia Chain Gang and affliated to The Leukemia &

Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In

Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin

lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the

ultimate finish line - a cure!

May role with the team is two fold. First role will serve the team as a secondary mechanic. Secondary role is serving as the primary alternate rider to the the RAAM team. My hope is to assist Dave Armento with his strength training and endurance so he can finish the race he set out to last year.

My passion for cycling was ignited by two of great friends from Louisville who asked me to participate in an MS150 ride. Since this event I have completed four additonal MS150 evnets, completed 5 triathlons, numerous century's and even won my first criterium race in 2009. This was a proud moment for me and an accomplishment to the commnitment of losing over 50 lbs via cycling and proper diet. I enjoy being active advocate for Atlanta's cyclist through many organizations and you are welcome to come see me working weekends at Atlanta Cycling.

I haved served our country honorably through the United States Marine Corps during the Desert Storm War. I truly believe, Once a Marine, Always a Marine. The RAAM event will be yet another challenge I look to conqueor and in some small way to contribute back to those who suffer from blood cancers.
