I can't even believe that in one week I will be in San Fran about to run the longest distance I have ever ran! 13.1 miles. With over 25,000 participants along with me to help fight cancer.
I know my webpage shows that I only have 42% completed, but I still have checks that have not yet been deposited in my account.
I am doing a 24 hour challenge. I need $240 left to raise and I challanged 24 friends to donate $10 each to help me hit my goal.
I have a few people who I am running in memory and in honor of. Here they are:
Thank you to everyone who has helped me reach my goal. I love the joy I feel when I know I can help others out. I am so blessed and I am so thankful I have this strong body that keeps working and keeps going. I am undeserving. I can't wait to share my experience with all of you in one week!

My feet have carried me very far. I have the blisters today to prove it. Ice water and my feet have become very good friends. I ran my second 12 miler today and it was a killer! I'll know better next time to carb-o-load the night before! I have logged 286 miles in 6 months. Who would have thought these chicken legs would be able to deliver????
My race is just 3 weeks away and I am half way there! I need to raise a total of $1950 to meet my goal! So if you haven't heard of the raffle I'm doing, here is the info:
Each $20 Donation you make, you'll have the chance to win $300 of hair color services plus a Chateau Élan Spa Sampler Gift Card. Thats a $535 Vale!
Each $10 Donation you make, you could be the winner of 4 free haircuts along with a $25 Elle B Gift Card.
Please Donate by Oct 11th to qualify!
And this is the niffy flyer that I created:

Please, Please, Please donate! Only if it's $5. Every dollar counts. It's crunch time!!!!!
Thank you everyone, It means a lot to me!

Another month passed...which means 8 weeks left untill my race! I have $2229 left to raise, and I'm confident that we all can do this! Tomorrow I run my logest run so far, 10 miles! I'm a little frightened, so I'll just have to keep a slow pace to finish.
A few exciting things:
I just participated in the 2nd annual Totally Running 5k race. All procedings go to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. My mom and a few friends ran it with me and it was a blast! Here is a pre-race photo!
Just so you know...this is where ALL the money goes:
$5 will cover the costs to send a packet to a newly diagnosed patient
$20 will help pay for 1 round trip per day for 5 days of treatment at a facility for an
urban patient
$42 will pay for 1 anti-nausea pill for a person in treatment
$100 will pay for 1 round trip per day for 5 days for a patient living in rural Georgia
to drive to treatment in Atlanta
$200 will pay for 1 lab test co-pay
$400 will help pay for 1 lab chemistry
$500 will help pay for 12 anti-nausea pills for a patient in chemotherapy
$1,000 will help a child travel to out-patient treatment for 1 year
$2,000 will help pay the co-pay for a 30 day supply of a cancer drug
Thank you everyone who is supporting me! I can't wait for race day!

Hello Friends! Hope everyone had a great 4th. I sure did, I completed my first Peachtree Road race and I can't wait for the next one! October will be here before we know it, I have raised a total of $850! That is a pretty big number, but not nearly close to my goal! I need all of your help. If you could just donate a simple donation to help me get to my goal. I am so excited to run this race and I really hope that I can raise the funds to run it!
I have logged 118 miles since I have started my training! I have fallen in love with running and I hope that my body loves it as well :) This heat is brutal, So I have been hitting the treadmill more often. Help support a great cause! Have a great July!!!!!!
Me and Nikki after the Peachtree!

Saving Lives One Mile at a Time
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I'm training to participate in the Nike Women's Marathon & Half Marathon on October 17, 2010, as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. Including my best friend and husband Josh, who is a cancer survivor. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
So I'm asking for your help! Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission.
I hope you will visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
