Racing to Save Lives with the Inaugural Georgia IronTeam!
I am back, with your help, for My Do More!!
I'm training to participate in my third endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
This time I am even more FIRED up! I have had good friends lose their loved ones this past year. Others have had their loved ones diagnosed or seen the cancer return. We MUST continue to raise money to fund the research to stop this deadly disease.
To show my support for those afflicted with blood cancer and their families I will be participating in the Ironman Arizona on November 20, 2011. The Ironman consists of:
Swimming - 2.4 miles Cycling - 112 miles Running - 26.2 miles
You too can show your support by helping me meet my fundraising goal of $8,000. Together we can make a difference for the patients and families afflicted by blood cancers.
My immediate goal is to have $4,000 raised by April 30, 2011.
Over the seasons that I have been involved with Team in Training you have shown me how generous and caring you all can be.
TOGETHER WE CAN KICK CANCERS BUTT!
I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. This race is dedicated to:
Ted Bennett - My Honored Hero
Ollie Ketcheson,Bob Lyon, Ed Mitchell, Edward Hetherington
If you have someone you want me to race for please send their name to seanrbennett@gmail.com so I can place them on my website.
These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
