COUNTRY MUSIC MARATHON APRIL 25TH!!!
4/6 Less than 3 weeks until race day! I can't believe it is almost here. Alex helped me with my 2nd 12 mile run on Saturday. We got a little lost so we even did a little more than 12. It was a great run through Marietta. It made me feel really confident about the upcoming race. I am so excited :)
Thanks to everyone who attended the Old Mill Fundraiser. You helped us to raise $1300!!!
2/19 Thank you to everyone who has participated in one of our fundraisers or made a contribution to LLS. Your words of encouragement and generous donations keep me going towards that goal. I am lucky to have such wonderful friends and family members.
2/14 Heidi and I were scheduled to run 6 miles this morning but we felt so good that we ran 8 miles instead. Yes - 8 miles! I was so excited when we finished. That is my longest run ever and we did it 2 weeks ahead of schedule!
1/11 I ran the Big Loop at Chetham Hill!!! For those of you not familiar with the trails at Kennesaw Mountain. The Big Loop is a tough, hilly 5-mile loop. This is the 1st time I have run it since before I was pregnant with Carter. Yea!
Racing to Save Lives
Hi friends and family! Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I'm training to participate in Nashville's Country Music 1/2 Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
I am really excited about completing the race and raising money to support LLS. I can't do it without you though. Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission.
All donations are 100% tax deductible. Any amount that you can give is greatly appreciated!
