Teams are made up of individuals. Without them, there is no team.
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating once again in the America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride on June 3, 2012 as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
As you can imagine this is a huge undertaking, but a few hours of discomfort on a bicycle is nothing if it means finding a cure for blood related cancers. As always, I ride in memory of my dad, David B. Neal, who lost his battle with cancer on August 27, 2010. I am driven to continue to raise funds so no other families have to fear losing a loved one. I also ride in honor of my best friend Jill who continues to battle follicular lymphoma. Due to Jill's participation in a clinical trial in 2011, I am happy to say she is back in remission! Now we have to find a cure.
So what can you do to help? Well, I am looking for a riding buddy if anyone is interested in riding 100 miles, but if that is too much to ask, you can do your part by making a tax deductible donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
Thanks! Debbie
