Hi, my name is Alex Strickland, and 12 years ago today, i had my last chemo treatment. since then, i have lived a life that i thoroughly enjoy, not taking anything too seriously, but moving towards my goal in life, which is to be a doctor. Im all about giving back. Doctors saved my life, and now it's my turn to save others' lives. BUT, until im out of school, i had to find other ways to do so. My solution? Team in training. Raising money for better treatments of blood cancers is the easiest way to give back for me, and also the clearest option, as i was once an honored hero. In hopes that one day we can find a better cure, im asking people to donate $12, for the 12 years ive been off chemo, and help end blood cancers once and for all.

I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in a sports endurance event as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
