Hiking to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
My name is Wanda Sandels. I am a 8 year Leukemia survivor so I'm passionate about helping others with Leukemia and Lymphoma.
I'm training to participate in a hiking event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am hiking in this event at the Yosemite National Park in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to help find a cure!
Okay, am I getting excited???? Well, yeah. We leave Wednesday evening for our long awaited hike at Yosemite. I know I am in shape and ready to go, and so looking forward to seeing the most beautiful place on earth!!!. You'll be hearing from me again soon and I'll let you know all about our trip. We will be joined by hikers from several states. I can't wait to hear how much money we all raised for LLS. And, that's what all this hiking stuff is all about. Making money!!!
