Racing to Save Lives

Thanks for stopping by!!!
Some of you are probably aware that I am a three-time marathoner. To others of you who only knew me in the days when I smoked enough cigarettes to single-handedly keep R.J. Reynolds or Phillip Morris (depending on the brand that was on sale) in business and drank enough beer to drown the Budweiser Clydesdales, this may come as a bit of shock.
I ran my last marathon in Vermont in May of 2007, and while training for the NYC Marathon I hurt my foot and haven't run one since. Running is an important part of my life and I decided this winter to lace up and train for the ING Georgia Marathon.
Don't forget you can always follow my training progress on my blog at http://thearcoftime.com.
I'm training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission.
I hope you will visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
