Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

My daughter Rachel and I are training to participate in the Philadelphia Triathlon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. A triathlon? Swim a mile in the Schuylkill River? Bike 25 miles? Run six? Are we crazy? Maybe just a little.

All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

As many of you know, my wife Patty was diagnosed with Stage 4 non-Hodgkin lymphoma in 2001. Last year my sister Betsy underwent chemotherapy for chronic lymphocytic leukemia(CLL). I am happy to report that both are alive and doing well today thanks to some cutting-edge medical treatments and great doctors.

Rachel and I are completing this event in honor of Patty, Betsy, and all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
