Racing to Save Lives

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for visiting my Team In Training home page!

Well, it's true. I have just started training to participate in the Philadelphia Distance Run (it's a half marathon) as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. I went to the introductory meeting last night, and while I was on the fence in the beginning, I was so impressed with the organization that I had no choice but to sign up.

Our team is running in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes and they keep us humble as we go through our training, reminding us of why we are doing this work.

Team In Training is the primary fundraiser for LLS. We are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. LLS funds critical research, direct patient services, and advocacy. LLS even helps kids get back to school after receiving chemotherapy.

Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission. Amazingly, 75% of money earned goes directly to research and other services. Your donation of 100 dollars or more will go a long way to helping patients with blood cancer.

I hope you'll check back periodically for updates! I'll let you know how the running goes and continue to encourage all of you to support this incredible organization. I hope it won't be long before we reach our goal!

Best,

Lisa
