Many many thanks!

$12,845 - that's how much money I've raised for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society since getting involved with Team in Training a year and a half ago. Two weeks ago, I completed my sixth half marathon in record time (for me) and I couldn't have done any of that without support from ALL of you. I can't thank you each and every one of you enough. You've made a difference in my life, and more importantly, in the lives of so many who are fighting blood cancers.
No, I'm not done yet - this fall, I'll be training for Philadelphia's Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon for the second year in a row AND my first-ever FULL marathon, the Philadelphia Marathon, in November.
Want to donate or keep up with my progress? You can follow me right over to my next Team in Training fundraising page:

Always the Overachiever

It's been an interesting season so far! Despite the fact that I sort of despise winter, we really haven't had one, and my training is going well! A few updates:
- A belated thank you to everyone who participated in my Super Bowl pool!
- Thanks to the users of Tengaged.com and Dysonia.com for all of your support!
- I've decided to stick with the half marathon for the New Jersey event - and plan to do my first-ever full in November!
- Because of all of the support I've received, I've decided to increase my fundraising goal from $500 to $1280! So, I have a little over a month to raise $500 more! Woohoo!

Together we train... to beat cancer!

Cancer effects everyone. Maybe you haven't felt its direct impact yet.
You might not have it; you may not have any close family members or friends who have it, but once you start to talk about it, you'll find out it's a friend of a friend, a third cousin, a celebrity you admire... and chances are, sooner or later, your connection will become more direct.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's mission is simple -- to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers, and in doing so help find cures and treatments for ALL cancers. To help accomplish that mission, I’m serving as a mentor for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. This will be my fourth season with the team, and my third as a mentor. And yes, I completed FOUR half marathons and raised more than $10,000 in 2011 - thanks to all of you!
Like the other members of TNT, I am continuing to raise funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. Participating in the TNT program has improve the quality of my life by helping me to get in shape, make new friends, travel and most importantly know that I am helping save lives. With your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
As a mentor, my goal is to raise at least $500 for the LLS between now and mid-April.
I know it's a challenging economic time for many of you, but I'd really appreciate it if you would make a donation and help advance the research for cures. I thank all of you who have supported me in the past and would be grateful if you could do so again - even $5 makes a difference!
I'll post more soon - GO TEAM!
