I’m training to participate in the Nike Women’s Marathon on October 19, 2008 as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training.
WOW what a summer! I know it’s not technically over but with the Labor Day upon us I feel like the major portion of the summer has flown by. It must be all the running. I’ve logged over 225 miles now! To the shore and back plus some. Did 16 miles just this Saturday, August 30th. When I started I never thought I’d enjoy beating myself up so much. There is definitely as weird satisfaction in it though. It’s great every time I reach a new milestone or when the donation alerts pop up in my email inbox. Many thanks to everyone who has donated so generously! To those of you who haven’t donated yet, please donate today. The deadline is fast approaching!
Remember the reason too. My honorees Harro McIntyre and Erika Ladanyi have both battled non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Sadly my uncle Harro lost his battle in March 1997. Erika however is doing wonderfully and continuing to fight. Please help me to honor them and others like them by supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society with your donation. |
