I'm Running a Marathon to Help Save Lives
Thanks for coming by!
In July, I attended an event where the speaker was a young guy who had been diagnosed with Leukemia right out of high school. He was told he wouldn't live through the weekend. To make a long story short, he began the fight, participated in an exploritory drug program, didn't leave the hospital for two years, met and lost tons of friends, made it out of the hospital and was told if he makes it for 5 years without a relapse he's free and clear. It relapsed 4.5 years later. He went back into treatment and because of the funds raised from this group, LLS Team in Training, the doctors have discovered a drug that has gotten him well enough to live a normal life. I decided then that I am going to help any way that I can. I can't do it alone, I need your support.
I'm training to participate in a marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin Lymphoma and Myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission. The race deadline is fast approaching and we still have a ways to go.
Finally, thank you so much to all who have so generously supported this important cause! I couldn't do this without you. |
