Even Sora came out to support us by enjoying some froyo!
Hello everyone:
Megan and I just wanted to reach out and thank everyone who came out to our fundraiser on Thursday night. We had over $250 in sales attributed to our team--that's a lot of froyo! 15% was $37.77, and Yapple was kind enough to round our total to $50! We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends who are supporting us and this great cause. I will post some pictures (if I can figure out how to do so....)
The race is only ONE WEEK away! All of our long runs are done, we can't believe how many miles we have put in! Saturday is the race expo and a pasta dinner hosted by our head coach, Meg Grugan. We will be sure to update this sometime next week to update you on the race!
Thanks again for your love and support!

Hello everyone,
THANK YOU SO MUCH to everyone who has donated!!! We are almost at 150%of our fundraising goal, with a little more than a month to go before the race! Megan and I are seriously in awe of the love and support we have recieved throughout this process from our family and friends. Megan had the opportunity to participate in SJU's Relay for Life last weekend, which seemed like another amazing experience dedicated towards cancer research and support. We are both so lucky to be involved with communities who are dedicated towards this cause.
We also have a upcoming fundraiser event that we would like to share with everyone! If you go to Yapple Yogurt in Wynnewood on Thursday, April 25th between 5-9pm, and either print the flyer will will be putting on Facebook shortly or mention our names, 15% of the sales will go towards our fundraising efforts! This location was chosen due to its proximity to SJU and their DELICIOUS froyo. We hope to see everyone there!
Thanks so much to everyone again, and enjoy the holiday weekend

Hi everyone,
We have some FANTASTIC news to share--we have accomplished our fundraising goal of $1000! We are, as of right now, are at $1,275, 127% of our goal!! We are thrilled to everyone who has supported us and couldn't have ever imagined reaching our goal this fast. However, we are determined to make the most of this journey. We want to raise as much as possible, because every dollar we raise now, every single penny will go towards research and supporting the families, rather than only a majority (due to the cost of the race, operational expenses for LLS, etc). Megan and I have been tossing around a few ideas for a happy hour in Philly or a pizza/frozen yogurt place, so we will make sure to share the details once we know--probably aiming for a late March/early April date. Last Saturday, Megan attended the first official training run (I unfortunately was taking the GMAT). She had an awesome time doing a nice 2 miles on Kelly Drive, and even made some friends when she left the lights on in the Avalon and had to get jumped (love ya boo!). Next week, I will be in Houston and she will be coming back from her service trip to Appalachia, but I will be sure to give a recap the next week for my first training, a five mile run on the Cynwyd trail on March 9th.
Although LLS focuses on the fights against leukemia and lymphoma specifically, we also wanted to take the opportunity to highlight someone in each blog post who has recently battled against other types of cancer, and who inspire us in our efforts this spring as we continue to fundraise. The first of these is Barbara Krohmer, a good family friend of ours, was diagnosed with myeloma not too long ago. She recently received heavy chemo treatments and a stem cell transplant which put her in isolation during her recovery at University of Pennsylvania hospital. She is finally at home recovering, but please do keep Barb and her family in your prayers. .
If people like this can battle through these horrendous diseases, we can run a few miles down Broad Street. Although getting a medal is great, and eating my Aunt Pat's strombolu after will be delicious (already counting down!), the greatest gift of them of them all will be the support we can give these amazing people who fight every single day.
Thank you so much to everyone! <3
