As you may have heard, I'm training to participate in the Salt Lake City marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training.

All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

Although I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers, there is one special person that is inpiring me to raise funds. You see, there is this 9 year-old boy named IAN GABLER here in Cache Valley who has Leukemia. I have met him and his wonderful family. They have high hopes for his survival and realize that Ian's chances are much greater with further research to find a cure for cancer. Ian and many others are depending on us to help them fight to live another day through fundraising; we ALL need to pitch in!
