Racing to Save Lives

I would like to thank you for the time you have taken to visit my fundraising website.

I'm training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. The event will be the Salt Lake City Marathon (26.2 miles) on April 18th, 2009.

While training I will be raising $1,700 to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

This disease has hit close to home for me. One of my friends that I consider a brother was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia on June 4th, 2008. His name is Dillon Hofeling and he is only 23 years old. Dillon has been such a great influence to me and to everyone that he comes in contact with. His strength and attitude are amazing!

Dillon is not the only one in this fight for his life. There are millions of people in this world that are fighting this disease on a daily basis. Including young children at the age of 3.

All donations will go towards the fight for finding a cure for cancer.

I am completing this event in honor of my friend Dillon and all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
