Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team in Training home page. This marathon is dedicated in honor of Rich Moniz, Bob Gulde (my Grandpa - Lung Cancer), Darline Lemke, Xavier Teran, Kay Blackburn, Tracey O'Toole, Ron Soto, Karissa Ma (Breast Cancer) and in loving memory of Florence 'Pete' Gulde (my Grandmother), Terry Gulde (my Mom - Ovarian Cancer), Alice Steigerwald, Henry Steigerwald, Amanda Dickson, Joan Rowader, Gene Heintz, Jerome Dauk, Janet Labat.

I sincerely and humbly request that you please donate, every dollar counts. And thank you to all of those who have already donated.

I am not asking for you to support me and my small effort of running a marathon. It is my choice to train for five months and run a marathon. I am asking you to support all those people whose lives have been devastated by these terrible diseases. Together we can help ensure that someone else gets to run in honor of their Grandmother rather than in memory of her and for stories of hope like Rich's who is now in complete remission from multiple myeloma.

If you have a friend or family member you would like me run in honor or memory of, please let me know and I will pin their name to my race day jersey. It will be a simple reminder that as the miles get higher and higher, the road gets longer and longer, and the pain sets in, I have a purpose and my ability to run should not be taken for granted.
