Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I'm training to participate in PF Chang's Rock and Roll Half Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of my sister, Kerri and my sister-in-law, Michelle.

My sister, Kerri, is one of the sweetest, funniest people I know! She always has a smile on her face and brings a smile to others. She is a newlywed and an elementary school teacher. Kerri was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in May of 2009. She is currently undergoing chemotheraphy and is positive that she will beat this disease, as is her husband, Tyler and the rest of us who love her!

My husband's sister, Michelle, is one of the strongest and most determined people I know! She was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in June of 2008. She underwent chemotherapy for 6 months, and is now in remission! Not only did Michelle beat the cancer, but three weeks after being told that she was in remission, she found out that she was pregnant! She and her husband, John are expecting their "miracle baby" in October of 2009!

These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
