Hello friends and welcome to my Team In Training fundraising page!

I'm training to participate in the Nike Women's Maraton as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training.

LLS has been fighting for a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma for fifty years. Team In Training helps raise funds to support the LLS mission, while encouraging people to push their physical selves to limits they never thought possible. Limits that pale in comparison to the challenges facing someone with a blood cancer.

Leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer among children and teens under the age of 20. As a mother of a feisty pre-schooler, I am completing the Nike Women's Marathon in honor of all the parents of children battling a blood cancer.

I, and LLS, need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure! Your 100% tax deductable contribution will go a long way to making this possible.

"Hi Farrah, Love your blog. I just did my first half-marathon yesterday, ten months after finishing my third round of chemo for CLL over the last few years. I did it, you can do it! Thanks for what you're doing for so many folks like me. We depend on good people like you to raise the money needed to find treatments for our diseases. You've joined a great organization; they'll get you through this. And, yeah I had to get up at 5:45 on Saturdays for training too. And I really don't do mornings.
