Racing to Save Lives


Welcome!


I'm at it again: training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training (TNT). This time it is in the Country Music 1/2 and Full Marathon in Nashville on April 30th.


All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers, but especially for youngsters Irvin and Michael, and in memory of baby Violette, who lost her battle earlier this year.


Above is a photo taken during mile 1 of my first marathon last Oct. in San Francisco. While I can't say I was still that enthusiastic at mile 10, 15, 20, or 25--I was so moved by the experience that I am back for more.
