RACING and TRAINING TO SAVE LIVES!!!

Welcome to my LLS (Team In Training) home page.

I'm training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

Our Mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. In the last 22 years Team in Training has raised over $1 Billion towards this outcome. We are making a difference! You can too.

I am competing in this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

Personally, 33 years ago my oldest daughter, Michelle Lee Weld, like thousands of others, lost her battle with Leukemia and passed away at age 5 1/2 after an 18 month battle. A braver angel never lived. She was a treasure, as all children are. We must cure this disease.

To honor Michelle's life and to bring hope to other special children, much effort by myself and others is being put forth towards our goal.

Please donate and be part of the journey. I would ask that you donate generously at the highest level at which you are slightly uncomfortable! However no amount is too small; it all counts.
