I decided to make a difference in somebody else's life. Having looked for opportunities and causes, I found and joined the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training (TNT).
Joining this team gives me the opportunity to participate in an endurance event; racing for their cause - to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I will be cycling 100 miles on June 6th in Lake Tahoe in honor of all who are battling blood cancers.
I have met a few people who are fighting the fight everyday, along with their parents and loved ones and I can't help but feel inspired and motivated to doing something for them. Every one that has this challenge in their lives are the real heroes on my team!
Supporting in my efforts to make a difference will go a long way. My personal goal is to raise double the amount TNT has asked me to raise, which is only $4,400. The money raised will further the research for the cure of leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
