I DID IT!
I ran it in 2:41:14! I ran a great race until about mile 10.5 and then my body was begging me to stop! With encouragement from my running partner, I gathered the courage and strengh to continue. My husband and kids were there cheering me on as I crossed the finish line. It was an amazing thing to achieve - but even more so, was the fact that I raised so much money! Over $3,900!!!!!
Out of 77 people in our chapter I was the 5th highest fundraiser! I got to wear a special bib that said "Top Fundraiser" and received kudos from runners as they passed by during the race. Thanks to all of my supporters for helping me surpass my goal!
It is not too late to give - money will be credited to my account through to October 19th.
