7/20 - Halfway there!

First of all let me thank you for your donations! I very much appreciate your support and for those of you who live locally, I hope you can make it to the Wine Tasting & Silent Auction on July 29th at Water 2

Wine.

I thought I would bring a smile to your face today with a photo of me at mile 10 of our 12-mile run. This past Saturday, I ran 13 miles and I am halfway there - or this is what I keep telling myself! Another 13 miles to go (and the voice in my head shouts: "Don't forget the point 2!").

5/11 - Last year I ran the San Antonio Half Marathon (photo: me and Rob, one of my training friends who finished the race with me). This year I want to go beyond just running and put my racing ambitions to good use.

I'm training to participate in the Nike Women's Half Marathon in San Francisco as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
