I can't believe it is finally here, and that I have gone above and beyond my fundraiser goal! Thank you all so much for supporting me! I feel so overwhelmingly happy and humbled to be able to raise so much money in such a short amount of time.

Tomorrow morning, I will take the train to NYC, hopefully catch some of the St. Patricks Day Parade, then meet up with the TNT team to get our bibs at the Expo!!!

My NYC Half '13 App says "1 day, 10 hours, and 52 min" to race time! EEEEK!

The race will be televised on ESPN3 and WABC. You can also stream live on 7online.com

Next time I update it will all be over! Thanks again for the continued support!!

March 8, 2013 Fundraiser Deadline Day

Thank you all so much for making my seemingling impossible goal a reality! This week is cool-down week...only 5 miles! I can't believe I would ever say "only 5 miles!" Next weekend is the race!!! Watch out NYC here I come!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR DONATION!!!

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hannauka, and Happy Holidays! I am plugging along with my running training. Last weekend I ran 5.44 miles, and this weekend I am set to run 6 miles. With a Half-Marathon being 13 miles, I am practically half way there!!

Hi Everybody!

As part of my weightloss and fitness journey I have decided to tackle a half-marathon. I figure if you are going to do something, you might as well do it right. I will be training for this race through Team in Training which raises money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I have come across many people in my life who are battling blood cancers, as well as other types of cancers. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is such an amazing organization, and I am excited and honored to be a part of Team in Training.

I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in a sports endurance event as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
