Welcome to my Team In Training home page!!!

My name is Jamie Botteon and I am a cancer survivor. I finished treatment in June of 2010. Now that I am strong enough I'm training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

My brother Wade passed away from Leukemia at age 13. He had battled with the disease almost all of his life. He was such a fighter. I am running in his memory to keep his memory alive and make sure that we find a Cure to Leukemia.

While in the Hospital I had the honor of meeting Chandler, who is four years old and battling Leukemia. She has the greatest, most energetic vibe and smile (as you can see!). She is a little fighter and just so happy all the time.

I also had the honor of meeting a little girl named Zia. She was diagnosed with Leukemia just a couple weeks before I was. She is the cutest little girl and such a fighter.

I am completing this event in honor of my little Chan and Zia, and in memory of my brother Wade. These people are the real heroes, they have showed courage and how brave they are while fighting their illnesses. We need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!!!!
