**UPDATE July 1, 2009

Thanks to all who have made our fundraising and endurance event possible. Our family (Lynda, Lindsay, Casey, Stephanie & Chris Jr, along with our close friend Keiith Pigeon) collected over $20,000 for research into Lymphoma and Leukemia. We all completed our events this past Sunday. Chris Sr & Chris Jr. (along with friends Gerard Albanese and Rich Rossignol) walked the 5K together. Lindsay, Casey & Stephanie ran/walked the 13.1 mile half-marathon, and I walked the half-marathon with the help of my good friend Sue Abate. She and her husband Ron came all the way from Cleveland to participate with us. Ron ran the entire 1/2 marathon as did Keith Pigeon.

Our team won an LLS award as a top-fundraiser for the event - thanks to all you kind souls who donated to us.

Now that my blisters are beginning to heal, I think I will be competing in the ING Hartford half-marathon in the fall. If you're interested in walking with me, give me a call.

If this is your first time here, my family and I are participating in an endurance event as members of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. We have chosen to complete the Fairfield Half-Marathon in June. The girls plan to run (!) and I will be walking.

We are completing this event in honor of our husband and dad, Chris, who is battling Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia, a rare and currently incurable blood cancer. He is the real hero on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
