Racing to Save Lives

I'm at it again! I have signed up for the Caesar's Creek Triathlon again! On July 10, 2011 I will join my team to complete a triathlon. We don't have a cure for blood cancers yet so I'm not going to stop until there is a cure.

Since I did the triathlon last year, I have started a blog called Gym Class Dropout, that I keep updated with all of my training adventures. For those that know me personally will see that this race is just two weeks before my wedding. I know it is a lot to take on but I know that by training, I will stay focused and it will keep me from stressing out about the wedding planning!

We are so thankful to have so many wonderful and supportive people in our lives and the gift of your friendship is really all that we need. We realize though that people want to share in our special day with a gift. We have so much already that we encourage those that wish to give us a gift, to make a donation in lieu of a gift. There are so many out there that have less than we do and have been hit hard both emotionally and financially by a cancer diagnosis. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society really makes a big difference in those people's lives and we want to give back.
