**My family has met my challenge - to raise $500 to put my grandfather's name on my team shirt. Thank you!** I am running in the PF Changs Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training in honor of my grandfather. That's him in the picture along with me, my younger sister and my younger brother (guess which one's me). The picture is from Christmas of 1983. I've updated my training blog, click here. Honoring Alabama Pink There is more than one reason I signed up with TNT. One is, of course, my grandfather. Another is a kind of funny story I'll tell you later. Yet another is someone I don't know IRL (in real life). She is Alabama Pink, a beloved regular commenter at Pajiba, home of snarky movie reviews and snarkier people. The readers of Pajiba already know about Alabama Pink's blog, Whoa, Camel!. She is a great writer and is currently fearlessly blogging about her cancer treatments, writing book reviews, talking about movies and preparing for the zombie invasion. Thank you for donating. YOU are a hero. The answer to the question "how's the training going"? |
