Racing to Save Lives
Thank you for visting and welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I have trained for and completed the 2010 Disney Half Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. My Team In Training coaches and mentors, along with fantasic support from many many generous donors, helped me finish the race in 1:47:08 (an average of 8:10 minute miles, 884 out of 17102 participates, 102nd in my age group, and an age-graded Personal Record time).
All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I did this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
The over 1500 Team In Training members from all over the US who participated in the 2010 Disney Half Marathon, Marathon, and Goofy (both races) events collectivity raised $5.4 million. But we are not done yet...
Please make a donation to support Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission. My goals are:
- $2400 (LLS Disney Minimum) Met 9/24/09
- $2500 by September 30 Met 9/26/09
- $3000 by October 30 Met 10/15/09
- $3500 by November 30 Met 11/24/09
- $4000 by December 30 Met 12/14/09!!
- Any amount. 100% goes to finding a cure.
