For my 2nd, I raised $2,200 for Team LUNGevity at the Chicago Marathon, and the feeling of raising the money far surpassed anything I could have expected to gain from simply running a race. Also, my best friend was diagnosed with brain cancer when she was 20, and I'm proud to say she is a 7 years cancer-free because of people like you and me - running and raising money for the cause.
