As many of you know over the past three years I have participated in Team in Training while fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Approximately every three minutes someone in the United States is diagnosed with a blood cancer. On September 1st 2015 my mom became a part of that statistic when she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. To fight along side her I have pledged to raise $20,000 while training for another Ironman.
I always knew what an amazing cause LLS was but it wasn't until my mom was diagnosed that I witnessed first hand everything this organization does. Not only are they funding close to 300 grants searching for cures and treatments for blood cancers but they are constantly helping patients and their loved ones cope with the diagnosis and the extensive treatment.
Please join me in the fight for a cure and make a donation today.
