CURING BLOOD CANCERS WITH A KISS (PLEASE MAKE YOUR DONATION TO OUR TEAM - LINK ON RIGHT OF PAGE)
We're the two guys who made NHL history by being the first gay couple featured on the LA Kings' Kiss Cam (only the second time it's ever happened at a sporting event) - and we're hoping you'll help us cure cancer with a kiss. Andy and I have been training with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training (TNT), having competed in 4 triathlons last year and getting ready for the 2016 Waikoloa Triathlon in April 2016. As part of our TNT training, we've been raising funds for LLS - to fund research into revolutionary new treatments that will save lives, prolong others, and improve the lives of those with blood cancers - one of the leading causes of death of those with advanced HIV/AIDS.
We are asking you to support us in this training by making a donation to LLS - we'll do the running, swimming, sweating, grumbling, and getting up early (some pictures of all that below); all you need to do is make a 100% tax-deductible donation of any size - every dollar matters, whether it's $5 or $50 or $500. Fully 75% of all donations go straight to research and treatment (unlike many other charities that send only a small fraction of the donations to the causes they support).
This year, Brad is dedicating his race to his honored teammate Josh Boudreaux, a surviver who went through a long and difficult battle in his early 30s but is now doing well. His life was saved via a clinical trial which was funded in part from donations to LLS - which shows just how important your donation is. The attached picture shows him during treatment, after treatment, and also he and Brad having a fabulous afternoon together in Los Angeles. Please think about him when considering a donation.
Your donation will help fund treatments that save lives every day; like immunotherapies that use a person’s own immune system to kill cancer. You may not know it, but every single donation helps save a life with breakthrough therapies such as these.
Patients need these cures and they need your support. Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help get us all closer to a world without blood cancers.
Thank you!
Brad & Andy
