Did you attend one of these institutions in Arizona and love your alma mater as much as I do? Do you think that this string art is freaking amazing?? Well, it's your lucky day!! For a small donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, you can be entered in a drawing for the string art of your choice! Simply make said donation and in the comments say, Go Jacks/Devils/Cats and your name will be entered in the drawing for that particular piece of art made by my amazing friend, Elyse Baker (a pretty crafty Lumberjack I might add). (Please note: if shipping is necessary, you will be responsible for the cost of shipping the art.) Thanks in advance for your support!
What better way to show your school spirit than a cool piece of string art to display in your office as shown below:
Feel free to share this with anyone who would be interested in having an awesome piece of art for a great cause! I am doing my part to get rid of blood cancers, one mile at a time. Help me reach my goal which goes towards a permanent LLS research portfolio in Frank Jones' name and show your school spirit all at the same time! Thanks in advance for your support!! Go Jacks/Devils and Go TEAM Frank!
TGIFFF!! My first half marathon ever in 2009 and it was with TNT in Seattle!
Headed into my 9th event with TNT and am proud to be a part of TEAM Frank to help honor an amazing Coach who we lost this year. Please help me reach my goal!
WELCOME TO MY TEAM IN TRAINING (TNT) HOME PAGE!
It takes more than one person to make up a team and that’s why I’m asking you to donate to my TNT fundraising page for TNT! I am back for my 9th event and a member of TEAM Frank in memory of Frank Jones, one of our TNT coaches who passed away suddenly on January 6th. He was so supportive of this organization and finding a cure and willing to slow down his speedy pace to walk people like me in and help me finish a race.
Frank coached the West Valley team, so I didn't see him during the training season. It was the long runs and race day where our paths crossed when I was training for the 2 full marathons that I have completed. He was always there for the last half of the race; that part of the race where I was not in a good place at all. So, sadly, I have no pictures but what I do have are amazing memories of the encouraging things he would say at just the right time when I wanted to give up. Partnered with Gary, who could wake someone from a coma with his Go TEAM early in the morning, they were the perfect race day coaching team to get anyone to the finish line. I will miss him this time around but know that he is with all of us as we train and raise money in his memory for a cause that he was so passionate about.
The picture above is TEAM Arizona from RNR Seattle in 2009, my first TNT event as well as Frank's first TNT event.
As always, I also train in memory of my Grandma, who passed away from leukemia.
By participating as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) TNT, I am raising funds to help find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients.
Your donation will help fund treatments that save lives every day; like immnuotherapies that use a person’s own immune system to kill cancer. You may not know it, but every single donation helps save a life with breakthrough therapies such as these.
Patients need these cures and they need your support.
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help get us all closer to a world without blood cancers.
Thank you
