9/14-

Wow! I have 4 weeks until I do my marathon and I cant wait! This event will bring together 25,000 runners that have dedicated their time and effort to train and raise funds and aware for blood related cancer. Tomorrow my team will be doing our longest run of the training session and that will be a time for me to reflect on all those affected by cancer. I will have 20 peoples name on my race jersey that I will be running for. Some are survivours, so are still battling, and some are no longer with us. Thank you goes out to all of you that have supported me along the way!

8/17- The heat is on!! I'm so excited that we've reached our half way point of our training. I got my official race registration the other day and now its official! I cant wait to be running those hills in San Fran! Thank you again for your help! You will be with me along with those that I've met or havent met that have been punished by cancer.

7/13- I cant believe how giving my friends have been. Thank you so much to those that have so little but still give. Its amazing to see who gives and who doesnt. Thank you! Tomorrow we get to concur the hills again. I have a love/hate relationship with hills. When I'm feeling my legs and lungs burn I just think about how temporary that pain will be and its nothing compared to chemo. I'm getting stronger each week and I'm fighting for those that cant. It's a hill .I'll get over it!!

6/1- I can’t believe it’s been 10 years since I started with Team in Training. Since then I’ve been a participant, a mentor, and coach for TNT. Now its time for me to be a participant again. This organization has given me so much, long lasting friendships, going beyond my limits, and all in all just being a better person. It’s time for me to give back and this is where I need your help. I will be running the Nike Women’s marathon in October and I’ve committed to raising $3000 for the leukemia and lymphoma society. . LLS is the world's largest voluntary health agency dedicated to blood cancer. LLS funds lifesaving blood cancer research around the world and provides free information and support services. The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

LLS mission has become my mission for the past 10 years and it will continue to be. If we find a cure for blood related cancers we will for all cancers. For now, there is not cure, but the funds are also used for families that can’t afford treatment and it can assist those families with financial help.

It is an honor for me to be part of this team. I want to help saves lives..don’t you?

6/29- I work with some really great people. A lot of my work friends in Phoenix got wind of what I was doing and while I was visiting them ithis week almost everybody was willing to donate or buy a headband or raffle ticket. They are awesome! The other inspirational thing about this week was the fact that almost everyone I talked to had someone in their family affected by cancer in one way or another or they were actually survivors. I cant tell how many times I was in tears this week. I gathered 10 additional names to put on my running jersey when I run the marathon in October. Keep the donations coming because I cant do this without your help. You are my inspiration to keep me going at 4:30 almost every morning at 90-100 degree heat, I beat the heat just like we are beating cancer! Thank you!!
