Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I have a mission to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in the Nike Women's Marathon as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well. My Grandfather, Edward G. Smith, battled a form of blood cancer called Multiple Myeloma for many years until passing away in 2004. More recently, a close friend that I was blessed to have taken dance classes with as a child, Crystal Rinehart, lost her hard-fought battle with both Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Joining Team In Training has given me the opportunity to run and reach a personal goal of completing a marathon in their memory, while raising money to fund research to find a cure for blood cancers and assist patients and their families while undergoing treatment. We have all been affected by cancer in some way. Please join my team and make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
