Running to Save Lives
(76 miles so far)
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I'm training to participate in the Nike Women's Marathon and 1/2 Marathon in San Francisco as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
As an added challenge, if I meet my fundraising goals by August 15th I will run the Marathon rather than the 1/2 Marathon. Yes. You can make me work harder. You can make me run an additional 13.1 miles in the hills (did you get that?!?!? I said HILLS!!) of San Francisco. This is how serious I am about raising money for this cause! Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission.
I am also running in Honor of: Barbara Kearns, June Givens, Flora Powell, Janie Sims, Alice Oakes and Mike Kantmann.
If you are making a donation in honor of someone be sure and tell me. I will carry a list of everyone that I am running (maybe crawling) for.
I hope you will visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
